Change disrupts our routine. Sometimes this can feel like a blessing – a much-needed relief from the mundane flow of life. But other times it can feel so unsettling that we’d rather just run and hide our head in the sand, hoping that the situation would resolve itself.
It could be an exciting change, such as a new job, a relocation to a new city or even country to pursue your dreams or start afresh, or it could be a new birth in the family. But change can also be unwelcome, such as redundancy or the death of a loved one.
This is because change presents uncertainty, and our anxiety often comes from feeling like we’re not equipped with the right skills, tools, and beliefs that we need to face this uncertainty.
